Job Summary

Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider is a licensed provider responsible for the assessment and management of various patient populations, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of care plans, and ongoing evaluation.

Essential Functions
  • Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in various settings.
  • Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
  • Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and diagnostic tests.
  • Develops care plans and follow-up based on diagnostic and examination findings.
  • Maintains high-quality, timely documentation including admission, progress, procedure, operative, and discharge notes.
  • Performs bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population.
  • Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to policies and regulations.
Qualifications
Education

Master's Degree in Nursing required. Experience in lieu of a degree is not accepted.

Licenses and Credentials

Registered Nurse [RN - State License] preferred. Nurse Practitioner [NP] / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN] [State License] preferred.

Experience

Experience as a nurse practitioner, 2 years preferred.
