Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Mobile MAT program serving Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth and Suffolk. You will conduct SUD assessments, manage MAT (Suboxone and Vivitrol), and provide post-treatment support in a dynamic, multi-site mobile setting.

The role offers daily ambulatory hours, no on-call requirements, and collaboration with a therapist and off-site physician partner to expand access to care for underserved

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with appropriate board certification.
• Experience in addiction treatment or behavioral health preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel with Sentara's Mobile MAT Bus across Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth and Suffolk.
• Conduct substance use disorder assessments and withdrawal evaluations.
• Administer and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) including Suboxone and Vivitrol.
• Provide post-treatment monitoring and ongoing patient support.
• Collaborate with an experienced therapist and off-site physician partner.
• Contribute to development and growth of the mobile care model.

Position Highlights

• Monday-Friday schedule, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• No call responsibilities
• Travel aboard Sentara's Mobile MAT Bus throughout Chesapeake, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, and Suffolk, with a different practice setting and patient population each day
• Conduct substance use disorder assessments and withdrawal evaluations
• Administer and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including Suboxone® and Vivitrol®
• Provide post-treatment monitoring and ongoing patient support
• Collaborate closely with an experienced therapist and off‑site physician partner
• Opportunity to help develop and grow an innovative mobile care model

Compensation

We provide market‑competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full‑time employment is $100,900.80 - $312,000.00 annually. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on‑call pay, shift premiums, extra‑shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Note: If an annual salary is posted, it is based on a full‑time colleague working 2,080 hours annually.
