Wellstar Medical Group, part of Wellstar Health System—one of Georgia’s largest and most respected healthcare networks—is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Cardiology-based Autonomic Disorders Clinic in Woodstock, GA. This position focuses on the outpatient evaluation and management of patients with cardiovascular manifestations of autonomic nervous system dysfunction, such as postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), neurocardiogenic syncope, inappropriate sinus tachycardia (IST), and orthostatic hypotension. The APP will work collaboratively with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive, coordinated care.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate new and established patients with symptoms related to autonomic and cardiovascular dysfunction.
Perform clinical assessments, review diagnostic tests (tilt-table testing, ECGs, labs), and formulate individualized treatment plans.
Manage medications and recommend non-pharmacologic interventions including fluid/salt protocols, compression therapy, and exercise regimens.
Educate patients on diagnosis, lifestyle modifications, symptom tracking, and long-term management strategies.
Collaborate closely with cardiologists and neurology teams to ensure integrated care for complex patients.
Document care in the electronic medical record in a timely and accurate manner.
Support patient access and care coordination for this specialized outpatient service line.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Current Georgia licensure as an NP or PA.
National certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA).
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
At least 1 year of clinical experience in cardiology, electrophysiology, internal medicine, or neurology preferred.
New graduates with relevant clinical rotations or strong interest in autonomic disorders may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience with dysautonomia or chronic cardiovascular conditions.
Familiarity with interpreting tilt-table testing and managing POTS, syncope, or IST.
Strong communication, organizational, and patient education skills.
