Job summary

Harborview Medical Center's Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery team seeks an ARNP or PA-C to join as a full-time provider. The role spans inpatient, outpatient, ED, and OR duties with autonomy and collaborative support from surgical teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Outpatient Clinic: conduct new patient consultations, pre-operative evaluations, and postoperative follow-ups; manage wound care and in-clinic procedures; coordinate multidisciplinary plans with surgeons.
• Inpatient Care: round on patients, manage acute issues, write orders and progress notes, coordinate discharge planning.
• Operating Room: serve as first assistant for craniofacial reconstruction and gender-affirming procedures; assist with intraoperative decisions.
• Documentation & Coordination: maintain EMR documentation; secure patient communications and care coordination for complex patients.
• Education & Advocacy: provide culturally competent counseling to patients and families navigating reconstructive or gender-affirming care pathways.

Care is patient-centered, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and affirming to each patient’s identity, goals, and lived experience.Outpatient Clinic: Conduct new patient consultations, pre-operative evaluations, and postoperative follow-up visits; manage wound care, suture/staple removal, and surgical site assessments; in-office procedures commensurate with skill level and training; coordinate multidisciplinary care plans with surgeonsInpatient Care: Hold the Plastic Surgery team pager, round on primary and consult patients, manage acute surgical issues, write orders and progress notes, coordinate discharge planning, and serve as a primary point of contact for nursing staff, consulting services, and collaborate with residents. Assess new consults throughout the hospital: ED, OR, acute care, and outpatient clinics.
