An established academic medical center is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider for its Cardiothoracic Surgery Intensive Care Unit. This pivotal role involves managing critical care for postoperative cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients. As a member of our dynamic and collaborative multidisciplinary team, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional critical care management to our postoperative cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgery patients.
Following a 3-month onboarding process, newly hired TCV ICU APPs will manage care of 6-8 patients representing the cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery population in a practice model that emphasizes independence with the support and collaboration of physician colleagues. As an academic medical center, UVA possesses a rich culture of continual education and professional development that welcomes engaged learners. We work closely with resident physicians and students of all specialties including medical, physician assistant, and nurse practitioner students.

Prolonged standing, bending, reaching, repetitive motions, and lifting up to 100 lbs. May be exposed to various hazards including infectious materials.
