  • Manage clinical care coordination within a multidisciplinary oncology team.

Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Head & Neck Surgical Oncology

Location : Fox Chase Cancer Center (Philadelphia, PA)

Position Summary

Fox Chase Cancer Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA-C or CRNP) to join our dynamic Head & Neck Surgical Oncology team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care across the full continuum-from initial diagnosis to survivorship-for patients with complex head and neck cancers.

The APP will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of surgical oncologists, radiation and medical oncologists, speech-language pathologists, and other specialists to deliver comprehensive care in both shared and independent settings.

Job Duties Include (but are not limited to) :

  • Conducting outpatient clinic visits independently and alongside faculty, including :
  • New patient consultations
  • Pre-operative evaluations
  • Post-operative follow-ups
  • Performing minor office-based procedures (e.g., drain removals, wound checks, trach site care)
  • Managing clinical care coordination in a multidisciplinary environment, ensuring smooth transitions between specialties and services
  • Reviewing and interpreting imaging, pathology, and laboratory results to support clinical decision-making
  • Educating patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, surgical expectations, and follow-up care
  • Participating in tumor board discussions , case planning, and team-based initiatives
  • Collaborating on quality improvement projects and opportunities for CME, professional development , and institutional engagement

Education

Other : Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. (Required)

Experience

1 year experience as a Physician Assistant (Preferred)

License / Certifications

MPA-LIC - PA Medical Physician Asst Lic (Required)

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Previous oncology, ENT, or surgical experience preferred but not required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a high-acuity, team-based setting
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to a diverse patient population
