Albany Medical College’s Department of Urology seeks a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our General Urology team in Albany, NY. Clinic hours are 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with potential four 10-hour days after onboarding, at South Clinical Campus and Niskayuna.

The ideal candidate is NY-licensed RN/NP or PA with a Master’s degree, EMR experience (Epic preferred), and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Licensed and registered NY RN/NP or PA.
• Master’s degree from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Experience with electronic medical records; Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of general urologic conditions.
• Perform in-office procedures and injections as needed.
• Educate patients, conduct follow-ups, and manage medications.
• Collaborate with attending urologists, nurses, and staff.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; document encounters in EHR.

This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient urologic care in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Position Highlights: • Full-time Monday–Friday schedule • Clinic hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. o Upon completion of onboarding and training, four 10-hour days may be available. • Primary sites: South Clinical Campus (Albany) and Niskayuna • Average 18–20 patients per day once fully trained**Responsibilities:*** Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a wide range of general urologic conditions* See both scheduled patients and same-day urgent add-ons for concerns such as hematuria, urinary tract infections, elevated PSA, and kidney stones* Perform in-office procedures, including testosterone and Eligard injections* Conduct patient education, follow-up visits, and medication management* Collaborate closely with attending urologists, nursing staff, and administrative support staff to ensure high-quality patient care* Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory studies* Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record* Participate in quality improvement and practice efficiency initiatives**Qualifications:*** License and active registration as a registered nurse/nurse practitioner or physician assistant in New York State* Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program* Familiarity working in electronic medical records.
