Job summary

Spine And Pain Centers seeks a qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join an outpatient practice in New Jersey. You will evaluate patients, diagnose spine and neurological pain conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.

Responsibilities include ordering imaging and labs, prescribing medications, performing in-office procedures, and educating patients.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant; DEA license preferred.
• Active NJ Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license; DEA license (or ability to obtain).
• Experience in pain management, neurology, spine, or related outpatient specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage spine, neurology, and chronic pain conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with physicians.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies including imaging and labs.
• Prescribe medications and therapies within scope.
• Perform in-office procedures and injections with training as needed.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatments, and long-term care plans.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and coordinate with the care team.

Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

At Spine And Pain Centers you'll work alongside experienced physicians in a collaborative outpatient practice dedicated to treating spine, neurological, and chronic pain conditions. What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and physical examinations
• Diagnose and manage patients with spine, neurological, and chronic pain conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including imaging and laboratory testing
• Prescribe medications and other therapies within your scope of practice
• Perform in-office procedures such as joint injections, trigger point injections, nerve blocks, and other pain management interventions (training available based on experience)
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and long-term care plans
• Monitor treatment progress and adjust care plans as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation
• Collaborate closely with physicians, clinical staff, and specialists to provide exceptional patient care

What We're Looking For

• Active NJ Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• Previous APP experience preferred
• Experience in pain management, neurology, orthopedics, PM&R, spine, or another related outpatient specialty preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Experience with EMR documentation
• Passion for delivering compassionate, evidence-based, patient-centered care
