Advanced Practice Provider - Adolescent and Medical Behavioral Unit

Position Overview: We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work on our Inpatient Adolescent and Medical Behavioral Unit at Main Hospital. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience practicing as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patients for urgent and emergent conditions.
• Perform therapeutic interventions to stabilize health problems.
• Manage patient care plans, evaluate and modify treatments based on patient responses.
• Incorporate health promotion and injury prevention into care plans.
• Facilitate patient transitions across healthcare settings.
• Serve as an educational resource and act as a consultant to the healthcare team.
• Participate in research, scholarly activities, and professional development.
• Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Nursing (Required).
• Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (Required); Master's Degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant practice experience.
• Appropriate licensure and certifications, including state-specific licenses and prescriptive authority.

Additional Skills: Ability to work in a team, proficient in electronic medical records, and familiar with clinical communication systems and patient technology.
