Job summary

American Family Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to care for patients within the scope of training and approved agreements, collaborating with other providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high satisfaction.

This role requires ANCC/AANP/NCCPA board certification, active PA/NP licensure, a DEA number, and the ability to multi-task and work independently. AFC centers operate walk‑in primary and urgent care with onsite labs and X‑ray.

Qualifications

  • ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified.
  • Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state‑controlled substance certificate, as required.
  • Able to multi‑task and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete, detailed health histories and develop medical assessments.
  • Order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies as appropriate.
  • Formulate diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals to appropriate facilities.
  • Institute emergency measures and stabilization when needed.
  • Interpret patient data to determine status and treatment.
  • Provide health care guidance to patients and families.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The centers focus on episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers’ compensation, and occupational medicine, with onsite labs and in‑house X‑ray capability.

Job Summary

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) cares for patients within the scope of training and approved agreements, as outlined by the governing board. The APP works collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies appropriate for the patient’s complaint, race, sex, and physical condition.
  • Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals to appropriate health‑care facilities, agencies, or community resources.
  • Institute emergency measures and appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions.
  • Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, management, and treatment.
  • Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health‑care promotion to patients, families, and significant others.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and families.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred).
  • Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state‑controlled substance certificate, as required.
  • Able to multi‑task and work independently.
Compensation

$65.00 – $75.00 per hour.
