Job summary

Platte River Medical Clinic is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our family practice team in Colorado. You will deliver acute and episodic care, perform procedures, manage medications, and coordinate referrals, with emphasis on compassionate, community-focused care.

Successful completion of a PA or NP Master’s program and a Colorado license are required. We offer a 4-day in-clinic schedule, no on-call, generous PTO, holidays, robust benefits, and professional development support.

Qualifications

• Must have completed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program.
• Colorado medical license (state license) is required.
• Active DEA certificate and BLS/CPR; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical evaluation, treatment and consultation to patients.
• Respond to emergencies and answer medical questions.
• Document history, exam findings, assessment, and plan for each patient.
• Prescribe medications, order referrals and ancillary tests as needed.
• Perform routine procedures and coordinate care with specialists.
• Educate patients about their conditions and treatment plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and timely documentation.

Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider

Reports To: Clinic Manager and Medical Director

FLSA Status: Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Provides medical evaluation, treatment and consultation services to patients.*
• Responds to emergencies and answers medical questions.*
• Obtains and documents appropriate chief complaints, past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examination, medications and allergies, assessment, and plan for each patient.*
• Provides medical orders for prescription refills, administration of medications, ancillary testing, and/or referrals.*
• Performs routine medical procedures that may include suturing/laceration repair, splinting, foreign object removal, etc.*
• Provide referrals to medical specialists.*
• Reviews ancillary test results and coordinates notification to patients.*
• Provides patient education as needed.*
• Maintains availability to patients personally or through clinical staff to answer questions and relay information regarding their care.*
• Completes appropriate paperwork to comply with insurance and reimbursement guidelines.*
• Completes all documentation and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.*
• Manages personal clinical inbox.*
• Attends provider meetings as requested.*
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.*

Education and Experience:

• Successful completion of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program.

Certificates and Licenses:

• State of Colorado Medical License
• DEA certificate
• BLS/CPR certificate
• ACLS/PALS certification
