Wake Forest Health Network Gastroenterology - High Point is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our community-based practice in High Point, North Carolina. This role involves working alongside experienced gastroenterologists to provide high-quality, patient-centered care, managing gastrointestinal conditions such as GERD, IBD, liver disease, and colorectal cancer screening, with access to advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Highlights:

  • 100% outpatient care, with 36 patient-facing hours and 4 administrative hours per week.
  • Strong community relationships and excellent administrative support.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations in medical/surgical settings.
  • Determine appropriate patient care plans using medical decision-making skills.
  • Collaborate with the medical team for effective team-based care.
  • Order and interpret lab and diagnostic procedures; explain procedures to patients.
  • Participate in research projects and precept students or medical learners.
  • Uphold organizational missions, values, and cultural commitments.

The clinician functions under their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental credentialing from the institution.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program; Master's degree preferred.
  • Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License and NCCPA certification, or North Carolina Board of Nursing RN and NP licenses.
  • Current BLS certification; DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing.
