Atlantic Health System is Seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (NP/PA) for a Per Diem Opportunity for Nights in Summit, New Jersey

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Department of Medicine at Overlook Medical Center. Our dynamic Critical Care team, consisting of skilled Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers, works alongside Medical Residents, Intensivists, and Cardiologists to provide high-quality patient care. This is a per diem night shift opportunity, working from 7pm to 7am, 3-5 shifts per month, with potential for more shifts.

The primary role of the APP is managing patients within the critical care setting in the Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit and the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. The APP will collaborate with Medical Residents and work under the supervision of on-call ICU or Critical Care attendings who will provide remote supervision. The ideal candidate will have experience in ventilation management and critical care as an APP.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in New Jersey

• Experience in acute care, with preference for critical care experience, is preferred
• Previous critical care experience is a plus
• Experience in ventilation management and medical ICU preferred
• Excellent communication and computer skills required
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
