Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) - GYN/ONC

Join to apply for the Advanced Practice Professional (NP or PA) - GYN/ONC role at WVU Medicine.

This position involves comprehensive patient evaluations, care coordination, participation in education, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Gyn/Onc care. The APP collaborates with the clinical team, participates in rounds, manages patient discharge, and contributes to research and quality improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

For Nurse Practitioners:

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • National Certification by a recognized APRN Certification Center.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an RN and APRN in West Virginia.
  • BLS Certification; additional ALS training as required.

Preferred: WHNP, FNP, or ACGNP certification.

For Physician Assistants:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree as Physician Assistant.
  • Graduate of an ARC-PA approved PA program.
  • Certification by the NCCPA.
  • Licensure or eligibility for licensure in WV.
  • BLS Certification; additional ALS training as required.

Core duties include managing patient care, participating in procedures, developing care plans, educating patients, and participating in quality improvement and research activities.

Physical demands include lifting, moving, and standing for extended periods. The work environment may involve biohazards, infectious diseases, and working around deceased or in water.

Skills required include proficiency with computers and strong communication skills. The work schedule is 36 hours per week, exempt status, with shifts in the U.S. time zone.
