Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner Manager (NP/PA) to balance hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities. You will supervise APPs, mentor colleagues, and partner with site leaders to optimize staffing and workflows in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Responsibilities are split ~75% clinical and ~25% administrative, with a focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and driving performance improvements across the service line.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current PA or NP license in applicable state.
• National Board Certification.
• Active DEA registration.
• Minimum of 12 months of experience in an Urgent Care, Emergency Department, or similar fast-paced clinical setting.
• Experience treating both adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Clinical responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with acute conditions, performing suturing, splinting, and wound care, ordering and interpreting diagnostics, and escalating higher-acuity cases to the ER as needed.
• Leadership responsibilities include supervising a team of APPs, coaching providers to improve quality and performance, monitoring clinical and operational metrics, partnering with Medical Directors on staffing and workflows, and supporting onboarding and ongoing development of APPs.

Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner ready to step into a hybrid leadership role, combining hands-on patient care with oversight of a team of Advanced Practice Providers. This is an opportunity to lead, mentor, and influence care delivery while staying clinically active in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

What You’ll Do

Clinical Responsibilities (Approximately 75%)

• Evaluate and treat patients across a wide range of acute conditions (e.g., respiratory illness, minor injuries, infections)
• Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care
• Order and interpret diagnostics (X-rays, EKGs, labs)
• Identify higher-acuity cases and appropriately elevate to ER when needed
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across all age groups

Leadership & Administrative Responsibilities (Approximately 25%)

• Lead and directly supervise a team of APPs within the service line
• Coach and mentor providers to improve clinical quality and performance
• Monitor key metrics (clinical, operational, patient satisfaction) and drive improvements
• Partner with Medical Directors and site leaders on staffing, workflows, and provider utilization
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of APPs
• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Education
