Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community.

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community.

This full-service hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Practitioner (Full Time - Days)

Our ideal candidate will provide all aspects of employee health services at CHRMC. Performs a variety of functions within the scope of practice of an Advanced Practitioner Provider, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants. This role serves as a liaison for all disciplines and services interfacing with the individual department. The NP/PA will be credentialed according to the medical staff regulation of CHRMC and will be under the supervision of an appropriately credentialed attending physician(s).

Education/Qualifications

Qualifications

  • A master’s degree as physician assistant and completion of an approved course of study as a physician assistant.
  • Current ANCC certification and D.C. licensure as a Advance Practice Provider is necessary.
  • Some previous experience is recommended in an occupational health setting.
  • A master’s degree in nursing and completion of an approved course of study as an Advanced Practitioner Provider
  • Current ANCC certification and D.C. licensure as an Advanced Practice Provider is necessary.
  • 1 year of experience preferred.

Skills

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to follow and understand instructions, and react favorably in all work situations.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people at various levels within and outside the Hospital, physicians, and University.
  • Must be able to do math calculations and input data into the computer.
