Ideal candidates have NJ APN licensure with prescriptive authority and at least 3 years in palliative care or related fields, with a flexible schedule and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey APN license with prescriptive authority
• Valid CDS and DEA registrations
• Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in palliative care, geriatrics, family medicine, or oncology preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to whole-person care
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required

Responsibilities

• Deliver palliative care services across multiple settings including patients’ homes, SNFs, ALFs, and telehealth platforms
• Participate in both inpatient and outpatient care
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, manage complex symptoms, and lead advanced care planning discussions
• Collaborate with RWJBarnabas Health physicians, care managers, and community providers
• Flexible schedule supported by leadership and administrative infrastructure

Advanced Practice Nurse – Palliative Care

NJ Palliative Care Solutions, in strategicpartnership with RWJBarnabas Health, is seeking skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) to join its growing Palliative Care team for inpatient and outpatient opportunities across New Jersey.

While this position is employed through NJ Palliative Care Solutions, the selected candidate will operate alongside RWJBarnabas Health’s clinical teams within RWJBarnabas Health facilities and care environments.
