Job summary

Hendricks Regional Health seeks an APRN to provide primary and/or women’s health care in collaboration with sponsoring physicians. The role focuses on patient-centered care, supervision of staff, and partnership with hospital leadership to improve outcomes.

The APRN will work closely with physicians, nurses, and management to coordinate care, maintain quality, and ensure patient satisfaction and safety within the clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• BSN degree is required.
• MSN is required for all new hires.
• Computer skills are required; area-specific education may be obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate medical records and uses clinic IT systems (meaningful use and billing).
• Manages time and supplies; supports scheduling and cost-effective care.
• Supervises the laboratory as technical consultant; collaborates with physicians.
• Orders, performs and interprets labs and radiology; prescribes medications; plans follow-up.
• Follows protocols with sponsoring physician to ensure patient outcomes.
• Conducts comprehensive health assessments and risk stratification with physicians.
• Provides patient education and coordinates referrals to specialists or community resources.
• Ensures patient safety and adheres to policies; participates in quality initiatives.
