Job summary

University Hospital in Newark seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse Stroke Coordinator to work with the Stroke Program Director to oversee the Comprehensive Stroke Center, coordinate patient care management, and lead program development.

This role includes quality improvement, staff and community education, and providing direct patient care for stroke patients; licensure as RN and APN in NJ required; Master's degree; BLS; CCRN/ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Current licensed as a Registered Nurse and Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in New Jersey.
• Master's Degree required.
• BLS certification is required.
• CCRN and ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Comprehensive Stroke Center in partnership with the Stroke Program Director, including patient care management and program development.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and staff/community education related to stroke care.
• Provide direct patient care for the stroke patient population as appropriate.
