The Sioux Falls VA Health Care System in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse - Cardiology to provide consultative services and develop treatment plans for Veterans across outpatient, inpatient, Community Living Center, and emergency settings. This full-time role is part of Specialty Care with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Summary

The Sioux Falls VA Health Care System in Sioux Falls - SD is recruiting for (1) full-time Advanced Practice Nurse - Cardiology within Specialty Care. The APN will be responsible for consultative services and developing treatment plans for the management of Veterans in outpatient - inpatient - Community Living Center and emergency department settings. This is an open continuous announcement until April 30 - 2026. Qualified applicants will be considered and referred every 2 weeks until filled.

Duties

• The APN will provide evaluations and treatment recommendations regarding patients with cardiovascular conditions
• Duties include: Independently practices as a NP providing a full range of services utilizing treatment guidelines in the delivery of high-quality care
• Leads the delivery of care to assure continuity of care and peer accountability for practice - improving outcomes of panel/program
• Assess - diagnose - treat - and evaluate care that promotes wellness and prevents disease / injury and disability
• Order and/or interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies and procedures
• Consult and collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals to manage complex health problems
