Job summary

Ochsner Health in Meridian, Mississippi is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient leadership team. You will deliver patient care under supervision of Medical Director, collaborating with PCCs, nurses and discharge coordinator to plan and evaluate care.

The role requires NP or PA credentials, a current APRN or PA license in Mississippi, and ACLS/BCLS certification. You will participate in education, policy adherence, and quality improvement while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must have computer skills and dexterity for data entry and retrieval.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications and various software packages.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of AP Provider policies and protocols at department and campus/system level.
• Reliable transportation to travel between facilities.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the approved medical practices process in the delivery of all patient care.
• Provides care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served in assigned areas.
• Maintains an attitude of inquiry towards medical practices and patient care outcomes, and may develop research methodology.
• Provides education experiences to patient families, staff, other health professionals, and to the community.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and adapting explanations of services.
• Performs other related duties as required.
