The United States Department of Veterans Affairs seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to veterans. This role requires a graduate NP degree, an active NP license in the U.S., and current board certification in a primary care specialty.

Qualifications

  • Post-master's certificate or master's/ doctoral degree as an NP; graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active, current, full, uninterrupted APN license to practice as an NP in the United States.
  • Basic board certification in FNP, ANP, AGPCNP, or GNP from ANCC/AANPCB or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers evidence-based health care, managing a patient panel, population, or program.
  • Leads interdisciplinary teams to improve veteran/patient care.
  • Applies research and evidence-based practice to evaluate and improve care delivery.
  • Demonstrates professional communication and teamwork across care teams.
