Job summary

Astrya Global is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Ocean Shores, Washington. The position runs for 13 weeks with a potential extension, serving in a community health center.

Responsibilities include outpatient family medicine, pediatrics, and chronic disease management, with up to 18 patients per day. You will document in EPIC and collaborate with MAs, therapists, dietitians and local pediatricians.

Qualifications

• Active Washington state FNP license and Washington DEA.
• Board certification and required certifications (BLS, ACLS, etc.).
• Adhere to COVID and flu vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide family practice outpatient ambulatory care services in a community health center setting.
• See up to 18 patients per day in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Care for patients across all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics, with emphasis on pediatric experience.
• Deliver care to vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees, utilizing on-site interpretive services as needed.
• Provide outpatient ambulatory services including family medicine, walk-in/acute care, and chronic disease management.
• Manage same-day walk-in patients as needed.
• Perform basic procedures including injections, IUD placement, and minor wound care.
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for all clinical documentation.
• Work collaboratively with medical assistants, receptionists, mental health therapists, dietitians, and on-site pediatricians.
• Complete a one-week ramp-up orientation and be prepared to begin direct patient care by day three.
• Submit timecards to the local health care administrator.
