Job summary

Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a CRNA for a locum tenens assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. 13-week contract with potential extension, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with call coverage and 2 on/2 off rotation depending on provider availability.

Provide anesthesia services across general, obstetric, pediatric, and specialty cases in a Critical Access Hospital, with Epic EMR documentation and active licensure requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Alaska state licensure prior to start date.
• Current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, NRP and PALS certifications.
• COVID-19 vaccination with no exemptions permitted.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services as a CRNA in a hospital setting for all ages.
• Work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with call coverage.
• Participate in call rotation, 2 on/2 off depending on availability.
• Perform general surgery, endoscopies, joints, blocks, urology, ENT, gynecology.
• Administer obstetric anesthesia including C-sections and labor epidurals.
• Provide pediatric anesthesia support for dental, ENT, and ortho cases.
• Collaborate with surgical and ED physicians across departments.
• Manage 5–15 patient contacts daily in inpatient care.
• Document in Epic EMR accurately and timely.
• Maintain licensure and compliance with all certifications.
• Adhere to vaccination requirements and facility policies.

Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $198 - $213/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a CRNA for a locum tenens assignment in Ketchikan, Alaska. These positions are 13-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a CRNA:

• Provide anesthesia services as a CRNA in a Critical Access Hospital setting supporting all ages
• Work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with evening and weekend call coverage
• Participate in call rotation, currently structured as 2 on/2 off, depending on provider availability
• Perform and support general surgery cases, endoscopies, total joints, arthroscopies, peripheral nerve blocks, urology, ENT, and gynecology procedures
• Administer anesthesia for obstetric cases including C-sections and labor epidurals
• Provide pediatric anesthesia support for dental, ENT, and orthopedic cases
• Collaborate with General Surgery, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Hospitalist, and Emergency Department physicians
• Manage an average of 5 to 15 patient contacts per day in an inpatient setting
• Utilize Epic EMR system proficiently for documentation and charting
• Maintain active Alaska state licensure prior to start of assignment
• Maintain current ACLS, ATLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications
• Maintain required clinical activity documentation including case logs covering the last 24 months
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccine requirement with no exemptions permitted
