Job summary

Mayo Clinic Arizona seeks a Master’s-prepared Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to serve as a clinical expert and nursing leader. The CNS will partner with interdisciplinary teams to advance evidence-based practice, improve patient outcomes, and support quality and practice excellence across specialty areas.

Qualifications

Master’s degree with a major in nursing with a Clinical Nurse Specialist focus.
Experience as a CNS preferred.
Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient needs and CNS workload.
Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree preferred.
Five years of successful work experience in nursing with two years in the specialty area preferred.
As a condition of employment, individuals working with addictions services must be free from problematic substance use for a minimum of the immediately preceding two years at time of hire.
PCU or Critical Care background required.

Responsibilities

As a CNS, you will serve as a clinical expert and nursing leader partnering with interdisciplinary teams to advance evidence-based practice and improve patient outcomes.
Support quality and practice excellence across specialty areas within Mayo Clinic Arizona.
Lead nursing initiatives within the designated population/specialty practice and participate in the nursing leadership team.
