Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive ambulatory care within a collaborative primary care team in Massachusetts. You’ll deliver patient-centered services, coordinate care plans, and guide staff to ensure efficient department operations.

Requirements include an accredited NP program, MA licensure, national board certification, and DEA/DPH registrations. A strong emphasis on teamwork and leadership supports professional growth and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts board of registration in Nursing.
• National Board Certification.
• Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire.
• Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post-hire.
• Maintains BLS certification, professional certification as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive, longitudinal clinical and administrative coordination of all care for a specific panel of patients.
• Performs all activities related to the examination, diagnoses and treatment of patients in a primary care setting.
• Oversees monitoring and management of patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
• Partners with patients and families to manage care plan.
• Provides consultation regarding hospitalized patients in the panel.
• Provides direction and support to staff to assure departmental effectiveness and efficiency.
