Job description

Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Per-Diem Neurocritical Care Advanced Practice Clinician for a Great Opportunity in Northern New Jersey

Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a PerDiem Neurocritical Care Advanced Practice Clinician (NP or PA) to join the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute at Overlook Medical Center. The neuroscience flagship of Atlantic Health System houses a 29-bed unit for neuroscience patients, as well as a 10-bed Neuroscience Critical Care Unit for patients recovering from stroke, brain surgery, seizures, nervous system infections, head trauma and spinal surgery. The ideal candidate would provide 1-2 shifts per month, working from 7pm - 7:30am or 7am - 7:30pm (12-hour shifts). Weekends are not required.

The APC will be responsible for advance practice care delivery in collaboration with Neurocritical Care and Neurosurgical Teams. Responsibilities include:

  1. Comprehensive assessments
  2. Interpretation of diagnostic results
  3. Performing bedside procedures
  4. Daily progress notes
  5. Patient/family education and meetings
