The Advanced Practice Clinician provides health care to Laboratory employees through the Occupational Health Division, delivering clinical care within the scope of occupational medicine. This role supports occupational healthobjectivesbyassistingLaboratory occupational physicians, serving as a clinical resource for Occupational Health staff, and applying sound clinical judgment to resolve a wide range of employee health issues in a creative, effective, and compliant manner.
This is a fully qualified, career-oriented position that works under limited direction and requires the ability to apply Laboratoryobjectives, occupational medicine practices, and clinicalexpertiseto support safe, responsive, and high-quality employee health services.

Education and Experience
Position requires 2 to 5 years of recent clinical experience in occupational medicine or in a clinically related field, such as family medicine, emergency/urgent care medicine, internal medicine, or sports medicine. Physician Assistants must be board certified as a PA-C through the NCCPA and licensed by the New Mexico Board of Medical Examiners/New Mexico Medical Board to practice medicine. Nurse Practitioners must hold certification through a National Nurse Practitioner certifying organization, including the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and be licensed by the New Mexico Board of Nursing as both NP and RN. Current New Mexico Pharmacy and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) licenses arerequired.
