Qualifications

• Associate degree or trade school completed.
• 3–5 years of related experience with relevant certifications/licensures.
• Licensure as a plumber or related certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structure to avoid obstructions and weakening during pipe installation.
• Locate and mark pipe positions and passage holes; perform sewer camera inspections and leak detection.
• Cut openings in walls and floors as needed for pipe fittings and repairs.
• Cut and thread pipe to required specifications.
• Bend pipe to required angle for proper fit.
• Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.
• Join pipes by screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulks joints.
• Fill pipe system with water or air and read pressure gauges to check for leaks.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures.
• Repair and maintain plumbing by replacing washers, mending pipes, and clearing drains.
