Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

At least one of the most recent 2 years of experience working as a pharmacy technician in an advanced setting.

Licensure, Registration, Certification:

Current registry with the Alabama State Board of Pharmacy.

Possess one of the following certifications:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
• National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification

Other:

Maintain one of the following Infirmary Health Pathways:

• Sterile Compounding and Aseptic Technique Pathway
• Controlled Substance Pathway
• Inventory Management Pathway

OR possess similar experience at a previous employer and maintain one of the above pathways within 6 months of placement in the position.*

*If the IH Pathway requirement is not successfully completed within this timeframe, the employee should be transferred into the Technician Pharmacy position in accordance with IH policies and procedures.
