Job summary

Lone Peak Hospital in Draper, UT is seeking an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT) for part-time night shifts. You will work under a registered nurse, performing advanced clinical tasks to support compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include observing patients, assisting with ADLs, phlebotomy, telemetry, IV/catheter care, and lab collection. Training and growth opportunities are offered within a recognized community hospital.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• 1 year experience preferred.
• 6 months experience required.

Responsibilities

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate with the nursing team.
• Assist with daily activities (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and safe movement.
• Provide advanced care including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, IV line/catheter removal, and wound care.
• Assist with lab sample collection and clerical tasks to keep care running smoothly.
• Anticipate patient needs, respond quickly, and ensure a seamless, compassionate experience.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an Advanced Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be an important part of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Under the guidance of a registered nurse, you will perform advanced clinical tasks and help create a safe, welcoming environment where patients and families feel valued and respected.

• Observe patients, document changes, and communicate them with the nursing team
• Help patients with daily needs (ADLs) such as eating, drinking, bathing, and moving safely
• Provide advanced care, including phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, removing IV lines and catheters, and care for wounds
• Assist with supporting tasks like collecting lab samples and assisting with clerical duties to keep care running smoothly
• Look ahead to what patients might need, respond quickly, and help ensure every experience feels seamless and compassionate

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• 1 Year Experience Preferred
• 6 Months Experience Required
