Job summary

Benchmark Electronics in Nashua, NH is seeking a Production Inspector to perform visual, mechanical and electrical inspection of PCBs, systems and sub-assemblies to ensure quality per required standards. The role uses process sheets, inspection aids, and ERP systems to verify paperwork and dates.

You will inspect for proper component placement, soldering, markings, and labels, and may perform limited rework. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of basic electronics manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of advanced electronics inspection (AOI, FPI, PIR, etc.).
• Ability to train diverse groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Willing to work in a 24/7 global operation and overtime.
• Proficient with productivity tools (Microsoft Office, WebEx).

Responsibilities

• Works from detailed process sheets and related instructions.
• Inspects component placement, soldering and markings to quality standards.
• Obtains drawings and paperwork and verifies effective dates.
• Verifies board placement, polarity and labels.
• Uses defect codes to identify defects and route to rework.
• Performs minimal rework/repair duties as needed.
• Performs minimal hand solder operations on PCB assemblies.
• Enters board quantities into the Baan ERP system and PFS.
• Performs duties under close supervision and mentors others.
• Follows procedures and participates in continuous improvement.
