Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a senior process engineer to design and analyze complex experiments, perform hardware characterization, and troubleshoot challenging engineering issues. You will generate data-backed reports, interact with customers, and work with vendors to implement new technologies.

The role requires 4–7 years of related experience, a BS/MS in a related field, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Relocation is possible and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 4–7 years of related experience.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem solving.
• Experience with device packaging, W2W/D2W bonding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, collect data, analyze, and compile reports on difficult process engineering experiments.
• Perform hardware characterization on a variety of difficult systems.
• Troubleshoot complex problems, perform root cause analysis, and resolve process engineering issues.
• Measure film properties and interpret data.
• Generate internal documentation for products, presentations, and technical reports.
• Engage with customers to resolve complex process engineering issues under limited supervision.
• Identify, select, and partner with vendors and suppliers.
• Implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation.
• Lead project teams as needed and mentor junior colleagues.
