Job summary

Ezee Fiber seeks an experienced OSP Field Operations Technician II to join our growing team. This role demands deep fiber splicing, troubleshooting, and network infrastructure expertise to enhance reliability and performance of our fiber optic network.

As Technician II, you will handle complex tasks, mentor junior staff, and support field operations across variable shifts. Travel up to 30% in assigned territories is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; fiber optics certs are a plus.
• 2+ years in fiber splicing; 5+ years troubleshooting fiber optic networks in OSP environments.
• Advanced fiber splicing and troubleshooting skills; ability to document work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair outages (R2/C2).
• Mentor and train junior technicians.
• Build/repair terminals and splice cases (up to 288 fiber) and support cabinet installs.
• Assist with backhaul and enterprise fiber routing repairs.
• Document segment release processes and ensure compliance.
