Job summary

University Health seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse to join its care team. The role provides preventive care and ongoing health maintenance across settings, including ambulatory and inpatient care.

You will participate in the management of well, acutely ill and chronically ill patients, collaborating with physicians and other professionals. The ideal candidate holds a TX RN license, a master's degree in nursing is preferred, and has experience with prescriptive authority and Medicare provider

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with post basic or advanced education accepted by the Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Master's degree in nursing preferred.
• Must be a Medicare provider or eligible to obtain a Medicare provider number.
• Three years of nursing experience required; two years of advanced practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive care and ongoing health maintenance for selected groups of patients.
• Work in ambulatory and inpatient settings as part of a health care team.
• Care for well, acutely ill and chronically ill patients.
