Job summary

The ideal candidate will perform detailed MRI exams, collaborate with radiologists, maintain equipment, and participate in QA activities while upholding patient safety and accuracy standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a JRCERT-accredited MRI program.
• Minimum of 2 years of MRI Tech experience.
• ARRT MRI certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to pass a government background check and obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced, complex MRI evaluations and patient care across MRI systems.
• Operates MR equipment, performs post-processing and reports time and production data.
• Acquires brain and body MRI, positions patients, educates on risks/benefits.
• Explains examination methods and safety precautions; assists in scheduling and triage as needed.
• Collaborates with radiologists to select non-standard examinations and imaging parameters.
• Maintains QA and keeps permanent records of scans in PACS; monitors scanner performance.
• Provides training and guidance to staff on MRI procedures and safety.
