Job summary

SimonMed Imaging seeks an MRI Technologist to produce high‑quality diagnostic images with precision, safety, and compassion in a fast‑paced outpatient setting.

You will operate MRI scanners, ensure patient safety, document findings, mentor staff, and grow within a national network offering cross‑training and internal mobility. Strong ARRT‑MR certification, licensure, and CPR/BLS are required; 1+ year of MRI experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT‑MR or ARMRIT certification required.
• Valid state licensure current (where required).
• Hands‑on CPR/BLS certified and current.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or MRI Technology program.
• 1+ year of experience in a high‑volume MRI environment preferred.
• MRI safety zones and screening protocols second nature.
• Proficiency in PACS and imaging software systems.
• Confident in contrast administration and contraindication assessment.
• Strong communication skills with patients, physicians, and teammates.
• Calm under pressure and sharp under a deadline.
• Willingness to mentor staff and contribute to a positive clinical culture.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI scanners to produce high‑resolution diagnostic images.
• Select imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient condition.
• Evaluate your own work before it reaches a radiologist.
• Enforce MRI safety zones I–IV with diligence.
• Document findings clearly in PACS and imaging systems.
• Maintain and QC MRI equipment; adapt protocols as needed.
• Explain procedures to patients in plain language and provide compassionate care.
• Mentor students and less experienced staff to raise clinical standards.
