Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in Atlanta, GA, seeks a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join the Electromagnetic Warfare and Survivability Modeling and Simulation (EWSMS) Division within the Electro-Optical Systems Lab (EOSL).

You will build and validate simulation models, run experiments, and collaborate with sponsors to improve sensor and weapon system designs, leveraging tools like AFSIM, AnyLogic, and Matlab; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python, C/C++, or Matlab in modeling, simulation, and analysis
• Experience with Linux operating systems
• Experience conducting M&S for RF/EO/IR systems using listed tools and languages
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Responsibilities

• Engage with sponsors to gather requirements and analyze systems
• Develop M&S inputs: framework definition, analysis, synthesis, systems analysis
• Translate requirements into valid models and experiments for moderately complex systems
• Create technical reports and diagrams detailing system attributes
• Analyze functionality per requirements
• Promote reusability of M&S expressions
• Interface with HPC cluster to run large-scale simulations
• Travel to sponsor locations for meetings and tests
• Perform other duties as assigned
