Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking an Advanced Modality Supervisor to coordinate clinical operations across radiology facilities, overseeing equipment, staffing, scheduling, budgeting and patient service to ensure efficient, high-quality imaging services.

Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT registration, SC Radiation Quality Standards licensure for the modality, and BLS certification; 3–5 years of supervisory radiology experience is preferred.

The Advanced Modality Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager or Director. Under limited supervision, the Advanced Modality Supervisor coordinates the clinical operations to include equipment, personnel, scheduling, financial and customer service functions of a specific modality and, in some cases on a secondary basis, other imaging modalities for the MUHA Radiology Department at all facilities. This role operates medical imaging equipment to produce images or scans of the body for diagnostic purposes. Other duties as deemed necessary.

Job Description

Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology and three to five years of work experience within the specific work area; prior three years of supervisory experience preferred. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association for the advanced modality.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR /AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
