Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Specialty Services is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant/Nursing Assistant to support patient care under supervision of a physician or APP. You will demonstrate advanced clinical skills, assist in routine procedures, and contribute to a collaborative care team.

Required are completion of MA or NA programs (or 5 years of related experience), plus BCLS and CMA-AAMA or CNA on hire; additional certifications such as phlebotomy, EKG, or X-ray are preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED preferred and Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant program or five years of related clinical experience.
• 2 years of experience in a medical office setting with MA/NA program; or five years' experience in lieu of degree/certification.
• BCLS, CMA-AAMA or CNA required upon hire; additional clinical certifications preferred (phlebotomy, EKG, X-ray).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under supervision of physician, APP, or RN following guidelines.
• Demonstrate advanced technical skills and lead in physician practice setting.

Education
