Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks an Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer to develop sophisticated mechanical designs for test equipment and fixtures, enabling development, qualification and production with high quality and reliability.

You will apply advanced mechanical engineering principles and CAD/analysis tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to innovations that improve product functionality and customer satisfaction. Strong emphasis on mentoring and design leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 4 years of mechanical design and development experience with advanced mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute advanced mechanical design projects for test equipment and test fixtures to support development, qualification, and production ensuring adherence to quality and performance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define complex mechanical requirements and develop innovative solutions.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 4 years of experience in mechanical design and development with a focus on advanced mechanical systems
• Knowledge of mechanical design principles, methodologies, and best practices for complex systems
• Proficiency in CAD software and mechanical analysis/simulation tools to develop and validate designs effectively
• Experience with materials selection, manufacturing processes, and product testing to ensure design feasibility and reliability

WE VALUE

• Proficiency specifically in NX CAD software
• Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS, PhD)
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects and mentoring junior engineers
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies in mechanical design
• Familiarity with digital design tools and integration with cross-functional product development teams
