Job summary

Light & Wonder in Las Vegas is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and analyze mechanical systems for gaming products. You will create 3D CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and support prototype testing.

The role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on drafting or PLM experience; SolidWorks is preferred; familiarity with ECO processes and manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have extensive knowledge of theory, principles, and procedures of Mechanical Engineering.
• Demonstrates effective and efficient leadership skills.
• Understanding of 3D CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with Bill of Materials and manufacturing processes; drafting experience or training required.
• Knowledge of ECO release process using Agile or other equivalent PLM application.
• Familiarity with basic shop equipment and hand tools used in assembly of prototypes.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Creates mechanical drawings, Bill of Materials information, and other documentation for product release.

• Applies creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving problems, determining objectives and requirements, organizing projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
• Interact and collaborate with cross-functional across a wide range of experience levels.
• May determine approach on new assignments and may operate as a team lead.

Position Summary

Mechanical Design Engineer: Designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment and packaging. Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs. Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. Provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
