Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of mechanical design experience in product development, advanced engineering, concept maturation, or innovation-focused roles.
• Strong proficiency with 3D CAD (NX, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Fundamentals of mechanisms, structures, materials, manufacturing processes and tolerances.
• Experience building prototypes and using data to improve designs.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at different maturity stages.
• Willingness to travel 5–10%, domestic and international.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced mechanical concepts for next-generation outdoor power equipment and battery-powered products.
• Create mechanisms, structures, and assemblies balancing performance, durability, manufacturability, cost, and user experience.
• Use analyses, simulations, and test data to guide design decisions.
• Build, test, and iterate functional prototypes to validate ideas and reduce risk.
• Translate concepts into production-minded designs for downstream teams.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, industrial design, manufacturing, and QA for balanced solutions.
• Communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
