Job summary

AoPS Academy in Redmond, WA is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to support instructors with curriculum and materials. You will work one-on-one with students, assist in classrooms with up to 16 learners, and help with grading and feedback. A positive, patient approach and strong math/language arts skills are essential.

The role is an in-person, after-school and weekend opportunity with a flexible summer schedule. No sponsorship is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years old or older.
• Strong math and language arts skills to aid advanced concepts.
• Experience or interest in working with younger students is preferred.
• Exceptional written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Support instruction by assisting instructors with AoPS curriculum and materials.
• Work one-on-one with students during class activities and provide extra help.
• Help maintain an organized learning environment and manage up to 16 students.
• Assist with grading and provide constructive feedback on student work.
• Build relationships with students and staff to encourage learning.
• Foster an environment that promotes critical thinking.
