Memorial Physician Group in Miramar, FL seeks an Ultrasound Maternal Fetal Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic sonography in accordance with scope and practice standards and the organization’s policies.

Responsibilities include selecting imaging parameters, ensuring ALARA safety, troubleshooting equipment, and assisting MFM physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures and specimen collection.

Responsibilities

• Select imaging parameters, modes and techniques to document pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data.
• Apply ALARA safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
• Position patient and perform imaging procedure(s).
• Analyze images and identify issues with image quality."
• Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure if clinically appropriate.
• Perform routine and advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures at an advanced specialist skill level.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the healthcare system’s and MFM division's electronic medical records and ultrasound reporting system.
• Assist MFM physician with ultrasound guided procedures and collection of specimens for analysis and routing to the designated laboratory.
• Actively reports to MFM physician anomalies found in scan and obtains follow up images to complete evaluation of conditions noted.
• Follow established protocols for fetal evaluation and diagnosis.
• Review patient history and physician's orders.
• Educate patient regarding procedures.
