Job summary

Mantel Technologies is seeking a Research Technician - Advanced Materials in Fort Collins, CO. You will develop novel coating and resin formulations and apply them to substrates, then characterize and test results as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements include a BS in Chemistry or Materials Science and at least two years of lab experience, plus U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for government security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional laboratory/industry experience.
• Hands-on experience in sample preparation and formulation chemistry (coatings, resins, polymers, or adhesives).
• Security & Citizenship Requirements: U.S. Citizenship is required; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Formulation & processing: Prepare specialized coating and resin formulations with high attention to detail.
• Surface coating & application on various substrates with careful method selection.
• Characterization & testing of prepared samples (physical, chemical, mechanical).
• R&D collaboration with multidisciplinary team to develop advanced materials systems.
• Maintain meticulous lab notebooks; organize test data and communicate findings to team.
