The County College of Morris Foundation is looking for an Advanced Manufacturing - Workforce Development Instructor. This role involves providing instruction in various aspects of Advanced Manufacturing including manual and CNC machining, safety protocols, and GD&T.
Candidates should have at least an AS degree, relevant industry certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience. Classes will occur mainly in the evenings. Excellent computer and customer service skills are essential.

Provide instruction to students in the diverse areas of Advanced Manufacturing, i.e. manual milling, manual turning, various grinding tools, various cutting tools, hand tools, power tools, CNC milling machines, and CNC turning machines. Provide instruction to students in GD&T, blueprint reading, threading, G-code reading and shop safety. Ensures industry standards are incorporated into instruction, along with related safety procedures and industry protocols. Ability to instruct SOLIDWORKS and CAM desired.
AS degree in a related discipline; Bachelor’s degree a bonus. Industry relevant certification(s) with strong work history and industry experience can be substituted for a degree. Industry credentials and/or certifications as appropriate.
OSHA-10 certification, if not held, will be required within 90 days of hire.
Minimum 2 years industrial background in manufacturing, computerized controls or fabrication. Machining skills and technical proficiency on the use of vertical mills and lathe is required.
Prior experience in training adults, students or in-house staff in technical areas required. Prior teaching experience with non-traditional adult students in a post-secondary setting is a bonus.
Knowledge of MS Office and related programs, excellent computer skills, good phone skills, customer service skills, attention to detail, self-motivated, sensitivity in handling confidential information and ability to work in a busy environment are essential. Be specific in stating your areas of expertise and experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of discipline including current developments and technologies in field of specialization.
Class schedules will primarily include evening classes; occasional weekend or day classes may occur. Please specify your availability in your cover letter.
