• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and understand English preferred but not required.
• Must read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to perform basic math with measurements.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
• Looks for ways to improve quality and monitors own work.
• Working knowledge of computers.
• Ability to inspect product for imperfections and incorrect dimensions.
• Must be able to perform changeovers on machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment regularly.
• Train other operators on machine operation.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair issues on manufacturing equipment.
• Effective communication in a business setting.
• Adherence to safety and security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Being present at work to operate manufacturing equipment.
• Ensure quality assurance; stop machine and notify supervisor for quality concerns.
• Inspect product for imperfections and dimensions.
• Operate production line machinery to meet expectations.
• Ensure material and labels match the work order.
• Complete daily production and quality sheets.
• Perform manufacturing software tasks with accuracy.
• Identify machinery problems and notify maintenance personnel.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production line machinery.
• Perform or assist with equipment changeovers for product changes.
• Maintain product knowledge and packaging types.
• Operate within safety guidelines.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Willingness to cross-train on various machines and areas.
