Job summary

AJM Packaging Corporation in Detroit, MI is seeking mechanically inclined workers for full-time roles on 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM or 11:30 PM - 7:00 AM shifts. You will operate, troubleshoot, and adjust production machinery, perform setup after interruptions, and monitor product quality to ensure consistent results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous Factory or Manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Technical certifications are a plus, including Electrical, HVAC, Industrial Maintenance, and Mechatronics.
• Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot and adjust machines.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot the production machinery and locate the source of problems during operation.
• Assess machines, replace defective parts, clear jams, adjust settings as needed.
• Set up and start/stop production after interruptions like maintenance or paper roll changes.
• Regularly check finished product quality and machine performance.
• Lubricate and clean machinery parts and perform preventive maintenance.
• Adjust machine components and control instruments as required.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Complete any additional duties as directed by the Supervisor.
