Placements24 is seeking Production Operators for its East London, Eastern Cape facility. You will operate and monitor advanced manufacturing equipment, perform routine maintenance, and ensure high-quality output in a safety-focused environment. Training will be provided, and a strong team ethic is essential.

The role requires a high school diploma, good manual dexterity, and the ability to follow precise procedures. Shift work including nights and weekends may be necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a machine operator or in manufacturing is preferred but training will be provided.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor advanced manufacturing machinery according to procedures.
• Perform routine checks and basic maintenance to prevent downtime.
• Follow quality control procedures to meet standards.
• Identify and report equipment malfunctions, deviations, or safety concerns.
• Load raw materials and unload finished products from machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area per 5S principles.
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols.
• Read and interpret work instructions, schedules, and diagrams.
• Record production data and complete required documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement.
